Beautifully designed rooms, lovely outdoor space, historical charm
The lack of storage solutions in specific rooms is quite inconvenient!!! Plus, that slow internet speed really hampers productivity and is something that absolutely should be addressed!!!

We stayed here with two other couples and had a blast! Breakfast options were fantastic, and my picky granddaughter loved it too. The location was perfect for visiting South Lakes Safari Zoo, just a short drive away. The gardens were a nice touch for some relaxation.
In my wife's opinion, more dinner options nearby would have made our stay better.

the lodge is really pretty and has a lovely garden where we sat to have drinks! breakfast was amazin with a ton of choices, and the owner is super chill and helped us with anything we needed. room was clean and comfy with a nice bathroom. we even got to meet dave the dog! overall, a fantastic stay, would def come back.
only thing is that it’s a bit out of the way and maybe a little hard to find. also, parking could be tricky if it’s busy.

Couples seeking tranquility will find it here
The breakfast was fantastic, highlighted by the best Eggs Royale I've ever had, they use fresh ingredients, you can taste it! The host was like a human GPS, always ready with a smile and helpful tips about the area, giving it a nice personal touch.
It wasn’t exactly the cheapest option, but it was all worth it.

We had a fab time! The welcome was super warm, and we loved sipping wine outside in the sun. The lodge looked stunning inside, beautiful art everywhere and a cozy lounge for chilling later. Breakfasts were amazing too! Only wish the WiFi was a bit stronger, but overall, it was a great getaway.

Staying in a beautifully decorated room with a modern bathroom made for a comfortable experience. The breakfast offered a remarkable selection. the full English was particularly delightful, showcasing locally sourced ingredients. The host was genuinely welcoming, contributing to the pleasant atmosphere. the location could be more accessible for those without a car, and a few more amenities in the common areas would enhance the experience further.
